Finally, a leader designed and perfected to do what it is supposed to do. A leader designed to cast and properly turn over the large flies. This furled leader is hand-tied and twisted to ensure the best possible performance. It is made with fluorocarbon tippet material. Choose either the wire or the fluorocarbon bite tippets. Either tippet is 18" long and provides enough material to tie multiple knots. The leader tippet end is finished with a big loop made with a binimi twisted knot. This big loop allows easy fly changeability.
This leader is designed to work on floating or intermediate fly lines.
Being the toothy fish aholic that I am I have looked long and hard for a leader that would accomplish this task properly. All store bought leaders to date have failed miserably. One thing I absolutely disagree with is the overall length. You do not need or want anything close to 9ft long for casting large flies. It is a recipe for disaster. Add this to the wire bite guard that comes with a wire clasp that tangles with the materials of your fly on every second cast. This tangled fly is useless in the water and all your casting energy was wasted. Fly changing is critical and that is why the loop to loop connections are used on these leaders.
