...through our personalized and proven approach to learning the art of Fly-fishing. Over the past few decades our fly fishing education on-the-river classes have grown into Ontario's most recognized teaching program. Be sure to watch our informative video about our lessons in you Tube. Our professionally trained instructors/guides teach the entire course on the river. We use the World Class Grand River tailwater brown trout fishery or can meet you in Brantford (lower Grand River) or Walkerton on the Saugeen River. Our "outdoor classrooms" are the best place to experience what fly fishing is all about.
Fly-fishing Education Troutfitter Style
We refuse to do large class format lessons. Our student to instructor ratios will never exceed 3 students per instructor. We definitely do larger classes but we always add more instructors/guides. Our two person lesson takes a full six hours on the water to accomplish the lesson's designed curriculum. Our most popular learn to fly fish program is one to one. Yes, you and the instructor alone on the water for 4 hours. We know these programs work. Our success is easily measured by our very large alumni of fly fishing junkies we have established over the past 20+ years.
